This little gem made the best coffee. I had Vietnamese iced coffee, so creamy and yummy. Iced tea, bagel, and donuts were perfect to taste. Definitely recommended.

This is a cute little spot across the street from a brunch place we were waiting for a table for. Ambience is cute and contemporary and the donuts all look delectable and the staff is kind. We ordered the fruity pebbles doughnut, the brown sugar, cinnamon latte, and the glazed cronut. Everything exceeded our expectations and they're probably one of the freshest donuts we've ever had. Will definitely be back next time we're in San Marcos.

I don't know how I forgot about this place but I remembered today! So I returned with hubby and kids. Hubby and son got the Nashville hot biscuit with a side of honey. They loved it! My daughter had the sausage egg and cheese croissant and I had the bacon and egg croissant. Hubby got an old fashioned donut and a cinnamon roll to eat with his Carmel latte. He said that was his appetizer and desert. Everything was so good! You need to try it. The staff are nice and helpful and there are seats inside and out side of you want to enjoy it there.

Despite them opening a little late, the staff was friendly and rushed a dozen donuts for me. I only wish I had time to get some coffee too. Our team loved the donuts and were impressed by the freshness and variety.

Best Donuts in San Marcos Who doesn't love Breakfast foods? At Babe's in San Marcos enjoy a plethora of delicious eats such as Creative Donuts, Kolaches, Breakfast wraps, Breakfast bowls, Fried Chicken Honey Butter Biscuits, and Breakfast Croissants! I started coming here for a work event for Bumble, where we collaborated and made a tab! Babes is great with collabs and even custom made us donuts with our company branding! Since then i've tried a handful of items and will provide the scoop of each here: -Maple Bacon Donut: My absolute favorite donut here. This pastry has a perfect mix of sweet and salty- reminiscent of the traditional Maple pancakes and bacon- this donut is sure to wow anyone with a fun flavor palate! 10/10 -Bacon Egg and Cheese Croissant: Goey melted cheese with oven cooked bacon atop a flakey croissant makes this the best breakfast sammi in san mo! -Southwest Wrap: Think of it less like a wrap and more like a burrito. This thing is filled to the brim with meaty toppings- and the bell peppers add a nice flavor! Don't forget to ask for salsa with it! -The Upside Down: This is my favorite coffee at babes! If you love caramel like me you gotta give this one a try! it also comes with a yummy cold foam! for my sweet coffee lovers u gotta order this one next time u come! -Honey Butter Chicken biscuit: Arguably better than whataburgers honey chicken biscuit. Flakey homemade biscuits with crunch fried chicken LAWD JESUS. This is to die for!!! Overall, This coffee shop is conveniently located on the square in san mo, and has indoor seating at the sofa, or high top table. The staff are super helpful, and the vibe inside the shop is very earthy and rustic with modern flare. If your family is coming into town- take them here for a sweet or savory breakfast bite!

Amazing service and even better coffee!!! Very good pricing as well as a great environment for studying or chatting with friends. Really wish they had better hours though. :( closed on mondays and they close at 3pm it's a real bummer- I hate having to go to other coffee shops on the square when babes is closed :(

I first discovered Babe's Doughnut & Coffee right after graduating from Texas State University, and it quickly became a favorite! Unfortunately, I only got to visit twice before moving back to Dallas, but every time I'm in San Marcos, I make it a point to stop by. This past graduation weekend, I had the chance to visit again and introduce my friends to this gem. I ordered my favorite, the Nashville Hot Chicken Biscuit, while they tried the Cinnamon Donut. Admittedly, my friends weren't fans of the biscuit, saying the chicken was too thick and the biscuit a bit dry--but I love it for those exact reasons! As for the Cinnamon Donut? Absolute perfection, and I'm not even a big donut person. It was too good that we had to come back and get another one before our trip ride back to Dallas. I also had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, Kevin, who was so fun and kind. The service was friendly, and the vibe is super laidback. It's a small, cozy spot that feels welcoming every time. If I ever find myself in San Marcos again, you can bet I'll be stopping by for my go-to items. Highly recommend :-)

These donuts are SO GOOD! Apple fritters, old fashioned, were my choice. The location is in the heart of downtown San Marcos, and very easy to find. They have the freshest of donuts when they open.

This is a Mom and Pop donut store. I had the old fashioned AND an apple fritter. Both were delicious. The fritter was made the way fritters are supposed to be made, unlike an unnamed competitor's store on Hopkins. I will be returning after a pleasant first visit.
